The No.17 Float and Thermostatic Trap is also used with unit ventilators, unit heaters or other equipment which may be subjected to freezing temperatures during a shutdown period of the heating system.
The outlet discharge valve is water sealed at all times. Air is discharged through a port directly into the outlet connection of the trap. The thermostatic diaphragm assembly screws directly into the trap body and all other working parts of the valve are easily accessible by removing this assembly. Trap may be suspended on the piping with no other means of support and all parts are accessible without breaking the connection.
